Feedback
We provide space and facilitate rooms for our independent health providers.
If you experience problems or have suggestions about any of our tenants, you can let us know through the ways below;
Email our Buuilding Manager at reception@kingswaymedicalclinic.com.au or complete a complaints or feedback form.
Speak to our Concierge/Reception for a form if you would like to provide a complaint or feedback.
The Health Services Commissioner (1300 582 113) can assist with facilitation in these matters.
Appointments
We run on an appointment system but keep a few times free each day for patients with urgent problems.
Pap smear tests, insurance medical examinations, care plans for people with chronic illness, mental health treatment plans and counselling, all require a longer consultation, and patients wishing to discuss 3 or more problems generally need a long appointment.
Please call reception to make an appointment or book through our online booking service.
After Hours Care
After hours care is provided by arrangement with Doctor Doctor by calling 13 26 60.
Doctors at NHDS will make a home visit on request, and patients are bulk-billed. Our practice receives a written report of consultations the following day.
In an acute emergency, please ring 000 for an ambulance.
For less acute emergencies, and cases of accident, after-hours care is available at local public hospitals such as Monash Medical Centre, Dandenong, and Box Hill Hospitals; and at the 24 hour A&E departments of private hospitals such as the Valley Private and Knox where a facility fee and consultation fee are charged.
Referrals and repeat scripts
It is a Medicare requirement that a patient must attend a consultation with a Doctor in order to have a referral created for a specialist or to obtain a script.
Please request the consultation in good time before your specialist appointment, and before your tablets “run out” – it is difficult to fit in a patient at short notice unless medically urgent.
During Covid 19 restrictions, Telehealth (phone calls with Doctors) can now be booked in by appointment only. Patients must have been to our clinic in the last 12 months and are bulk billed with a valid Medicare card.
Test Results
It is very important to ring us for all medical test results to find out the results and what, if anything, needs to be done. Your doctor will advise you as to when the result should be available. Generally you should allow 3 days after having a blood test, xray or other imaging before ringing for your result.
Please call for results between 1pm – 2 pm, unless you need the result urgently. If you need urgent follow-up, we will phone you, but your phone call to us removes any risk of a serious problem being overlooked – for example, if the test result does not reach us, or if we have not been able to contact you.

Email Policy for Independent Doctors
During Covid 19 restrictions, the reception team can email medical certificates, following a doctor’s consultation. Fees may apply to those who are not eligible for Medicare billing. We do not monitor the email for correspondence to the Doctors so please call the clinic for an appointment should you wish to communicate with them.
